Overwhelming Majority On Immigration Question Favor House Plan

We may not ever see this much consensus on any issue again in our lifetimes, and yet the White House and Senate seem unable to act on the will of the people (h/t Right Wing News):
WASHINGTON (May 3, 2006) – A new Zogby poll of likely voters, using neutral language (see wording on following pages), finds that Americans prefer the House of Representatives’ enforcement-only bill by 2-1 over Senate proposals to legalize illegal immigrants and greatly increase legal immigration. The poll was conducted for the Center for Immigration Studies.
With the exception of "progressives" every category of likely voters thought the House immigration plan was the better/preferred method of dealing with immigration. Here is just one of the several questions asked:
