Marc Holtzman spent almost $2.5 million on his failed bid to win a spot on the GOP gubernatorial primary ballot.

Holtzman, who dropped out of the race last month, tapped into his personal wealth to fund much of his campaign. Records show he loaned his campaign $575,000 in the final weeks.
