A Look Back At Denver's Only Convention, The 1908 Democratic National Convention

Good video (complete with ragtime music) and retrospective on the only convention Denver has hosted, the first west of Kansas City.

The 1908 convention was the first to allow women delegates (didn't know that), had a generous amount of East Coast elitism and snobbery, and resulted in the nomination of three time loser William Jennings Bryan.

Here's to Denver's success in hosting the next Democratic National Convention, and to the same results as well!
