Global Warming On Election Day
Global warming was not on the front burner in 2006, but look for it to become THE domestic issue come 2008 and beyond, like abortion in the 1980s and gun control in the 1990s.
Meanwhile, October 2006 saw near or below normal temperatures across the country.

It could well be a major issue. A number of the Republicans in Congress have been talking about it over the last few years (in addition to the Democrats who are more likely to address it).
Read a great piece by Christopher Monckton that
sinks the GW theory to the bottom of the ocean.

Put simply, the issue of global warming will remain all talk and no action. The word around Washington is no meaningful legislation will come out of Congress. But heck, it should be a fun campaign issue - see John McCain.
