World War II Memorial Vandalized

Scum. Lower than scum:
LITTLETON - Littleton Police say someone poured a type of acrylic stain on the bricks that make up the Littleton World War II Memorial's walkway Wednesday night.

Each brick is engraved with the name of a World War II veteran.

The city's public services director says a professional clean-up could cost as much as $10,000 dollars.

The memorial was dedicated on November 11, 2000.

If you know who may be responsible, call Littleton police at (303) 794-1551.

The Littleton World War II Memorial is located in Ketring Park at 6000 S. Gallup Street.
